"New Old West" is a collection of photographs from varied locations in the U.S. and Canada that question simple narratives of transiton from "new" to "old". It highlights changes and continuties common to places and communities on both sides of the border. The collection begins by looking at paradigmatic images of the new displacing the old. In the second part, attention is devoted to photos that emphasize the simultaneity of new and old rather than their incommensurability.
